Finding Your Inner Peace

Peace.

I realized I’m at peace when I’m surrounded by nature. I love sitting in the park, taking in everything that makes nature beautiful. The trees swaying in the wind, the rustling of leaves blowing in the wind, birds chirping animatedly creating their own music, the rippling sound of water in the lake. Nature is something magical and it’s beauty puts my mind, body, and soul at ease. Recently, I visited the Hamilton Pool near Austin, Texas and fell in love with nature once again. The hike was a half mile down to the pool and throughout the hike I got the chance to take in the beauty of the unique park. Hamilton pool is surrounded by a very unique natural area.

Upon making it to the actual pool, I stood amazed at the picturesque area before me. The waterfall, the lake, the giant rocks that many people accompanied as they too sat amazed by the beautiful site, and the greenery. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cool. The mist from the waterfall made my hair puffy but it was refreshing none the less.

I found a vacant rock near the top of the pool, where I had a beautiful view of the land. I sat there for hours at peace. Staring. Thinking. Breathing. Relaxing. Reevaluating. Letting go. Nature had a way of cleansing my soul. Before I decided to take this hike, my mind was racing a mile a minute but after sitting and letting my senses run wild; I was relaxed. I felt free. My mind was clear. It was the same feeling I got from meditation. I was refreshed and I loved that feeling.

I’m on a journey to finding my inner peace. So I’m posing this question to my readers. What brings you peace? What puts you at ease? I would love to hear your thoughts.

  1. I just love these videos and it looks so peaceful, refreshing and amazing.

The outdoors with a great view also brings me peace but music is a great escape for me. Of course it depends on what music I listen to but it puts my mind a ease.

  5. I never thought I was a nature type of girl, but I LOVE water. It was usually just showers and pools, but my first trip to the beaches in LA and those in Nassau Bahamas confirmed that it one stereotype of being an Aquarius that is definitely true for me. Water is calming and peaceful. Love the post!

  6. I can find peace just about anywhere. Depends on my mood or the day…getting lost in a book, a pandora jam session while cleaning, or sitting on the porch during the rain it all does the trick.
