Just know that I’m grateful

It’s the holiday season which is my favorite time of the year. When the season is here and as we approach the end of the year, I love to sit and reflect and realize how grateful I am for the things that I have in my life. Things may not have turned out exactly how I wanted them to and everything may not have gone my way, but I’m grateful. I’m grateful for many things, but these are the five I’m most grateful about.

Family. As always, I’m most grateful for my family. What am I without them? They’re my support system, my personal cheerleaders, my counselors, my heart. They are love personified. Coming off of my Thanksgiving high, my heart is full because I was able to spend valuable time with the people I love most. So much laughter, smiles, and beautiful time spent with them. I was at peace. It was worth that 10 hour drive. Just to see them smile and laugh. The time I spent with my loves was needed and appreciated.

Peace. My peace of mind is everything to me. I must be at peace in order to be happy. If my mind is full of chaos it jump starts my anxiety. Then I’m left feeling anxious, irritable, and just unhappy. I’d rather smile, be happy, and live free in the moment.

Life & Health. I’m alive and my health is better than it could be. Currently, working on getting rid of at least 45 lbs that I’ve gained since living in the south. I don’t know what they put in the food in the south, but honey I love it and need to slow down. I’ve been enjoying food wayyyy too much and I’ve gotten lazy. So I’m working more on this health thing.

Nature. Beauty is in front of us everywhere. The natural beauty that God created in the rivers, oceans, trees, mountains, flowers, the leaves. Nature brings a sense of calm to my life. I love sitting in the park and letting nature take over me. It’s always a wonderful time, even though most times I return home with the sniffles. But a little allergies are not going to stop me from enjoying God’s work.

Books & Music. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without books and music. They’ve become apart of my everyday routine. I read something every evening and sometimes morning and I listen to music all day. It’s just something about being able to get in lost in a make believe world and falling in love with the power of words when it comes to books. I love listening to music and reading books that evoke emotions and thought. Both usually give me inspiration to write. If you don’t know what you’re grateful for I advise you to take the time and reflect on life. Show your gratitude and really appreciate the day to day things and people in your life. I never really tell my family and friends how much I appreciate them and how much I care for them. But just know that I’m grateful for each and everyone of you.

What are you most grateful for?

  1. I’m most grateful for my family, they are everything to me. I reflect on my life and I must say it’s been beautiful. Me and my children haven’t went without the necessary things in life. We have lived a balanced life for the most part. I now have grandsons that are my joy but not without the Queen 👸 and King 🤴. I love them all. I’m very grateful for my parents, siblings and my health. Thank you Jesus for keeping us in the right frame of mind, body and strength. Those are some of the things I’m most GRATEFUL for. Love ya, QUEEN JAZZ

  2. Queen Jasmine,

I am grateful that when I go to find a good read for my children. It is there Godmother’s work that I can share with them. Thank you Jasmine for such a beautiful website full of great information. And, for being a great example for our future generations.

    Keep shining Queen!!!
