Art, Beats & Lyrics is a traveling urban art and music exhibition founded by Cult Creative. AB+L started as a local art show in Atlanta and has grown to support visionary artists and musicians who value authenticity, creativity, and individuality. My sister and I had been waiting months for AB+L to come to the city and it was definitely worth the wait. I had been trying to attend this event for years and always seemed to miss it.
First, let me just say I was hype to find a dope event for free! Free fun? Count me in! Upon arriving to the free event, I received free drink tickets which made the night even better. I loved the mix of music and urban art. The first portion of the event consisted of a live band which was the perfect mood for people as they viewed the art. The band was amazing and the music was fitting for viewing the art. Next, there was a hip hop portion of the event where people danced to some of their favorite party songs, both new and old. Last, there was a performance by the legendary southern rap duo 8 Ball & MJG.
AB+L did an amazing job transitioning from the live band, R&B and hip hop party, to the concert portion. The energy was high the entire night and it was definitely a night to remember. Overall, the event was awesome. AB+L brought urban art, a legendary rap duo, and a hype party to the city and we loved it. I would definitely recommend this event to my readers. Not sure. They didn’t have such a great turnout in stl. A lot of people said they couldn’t get in. It was weird because the one here had a bigger venue and it was a million people there. We didn’t have any door problems at all
