Day 7 of Seven Days of Self-love

Seven Days of Self-love (7)

Dear Queen,

I’ve actually been sitting here for countless minutes trying to figure out exactly what to say to you. Each time I began to type, I always felt like it wasn’t enough, so I’d erase it. I felt like what I was writing was not profound enough to write to someone I love sooooo much. So I decided to keep it pretty simple.

You’re everything to me.

I love how you smile so hard with those itty bitty teeth, that you see nothing but gums.

I love your eyes, though your face may be void of emotion: your eyes tell the story.

I love your skin. Cinnamon brown with a dash of honey. You’re the perfect shade.

I love the moles and freckles that decorate your face. You are shocked everyday when more appear, but they only add to your beauty.

I stare at you and see nothing, but beauty. I thank God everyday for creating you.

Loving you hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. It has been worth the time, the focus, and the dedication it takes to love one’s self. Loving you gives me an undeniable satisfaction, that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else, but with you.

At times you doubt yourself and wonder if what you’re doing is enough. You come down hard on yourself, because your life hasn’t been anything like you’ve planned. You’ve always been a planner and someone who expects things to a go certain way.  And when things don’t go as planned, you stress and struggle trying to understand why. Why is this happening to me? It took time to realize that everything isn’t meant to go as planned. If it did, everyone would live a perfect, happy life without struggle, without tests.

But within you, you have the strength, knowledge, courage, and the ability to become anything your heart desires to be. Your season is coming and when it comes be prepared to work hard and accept all that God wants you to have.

Heavy is the crown and yet she wears it as if it were a feather. There is strength in her heart, determination in her eyes and the will to survive resides within her soul. She is you. A warrior, a champion, a fighter, a queen. – R.H. Sin

Your love is like food to my soul.

Love,

Queensized Jas

Girl you know you can write like the author that you are. You haven’t published your first but YET, but it’s coming. Stay true to who you are. Everything will work just like it supposed to.

    Love y’all,
    Queen Henrietta
